How to find the Edinburgh Playhouse
The Edinburgh Playhouse can be found on Greenside Place, near to the top of Leith Walk. The theatre is close to the eastern end of Princes Street in the heart of the historic city. There are many different options to consider when travelling to the venue.
Train
Edingburgh is easily accessible by train and has two stations, Edinburgh Waverly station is one of the biggest in the UK and services London Kings Cross as well as the rest of the South. Trains from Glasgow also terminate here. It is operated by First ScotRail.
Plane
EdinburghAirport is Scotland’s busiest airports and handles close to 10 million passengers a year. Regular buses shuttle from the airport into the bus station terminus.
Park and Ride
In order to ease traffic congestion, park and ride is also available at six locations: Sheriffhall, Ingliston, Riccarton, Inverkeithing, Newcraighall and Straiton.
Bus
The city is serviced by Lothian Buses who operate services around the city and towards the suburbs. Most routes run along Princes Street, which the theatre is situated on.
